Will Science Be the New Religion in the Post-Pandemic World?

The current battle between some religious elements and science-led policy-makers over dealing with Covid-19 is being politically – and cynically – manipulated.

Is there any common ground or are the two stances inherently incompatible? And will an increased appreciation for the factual certainties of science, following the leading role it has played in tackling the pandemic, have an impact on our belief systems based on the intangibles of faith, hope and trust?

Join His Excellency Omar Ghobash, Assistant Minister at the Office of Cultural Diplomacy in the UAE and Lesley Hazleton, award-winning journalist and author of The First Muslim for this frank and illuminating discussion.
