The Sharjah Book Authority, the organisation behind the popular Sharjah International Book Fair, is once again proving itself to be an upholder of the arts, as the world is coping with the COVID-19 pandemic. It is launching a 10-day Sharjah Virtual Reading Festival from 27 May to 5 June 2020, in a bid to promote reading and sharing of knowledge during these uncertain times.

The 10-day reading festival is targetted to various age groups and nationalities and will feature numerous literary and cultural sessions and workshops hosted by acclaimed writers from across the world.
