As its title suggests, With Ink and Film: An Illuminating Journey Around the World appeals on two important fronts. It takes the reader on a visual journey to a number of amazing destinations, including some unusual places situated well off the beaten track. The photographs, the majority in glorious colour, some in rich black and white, capture not only the places and their natural history, but also the people who live in them. They are clearly the work of a master photographer – someone who is not only completely at ease with his cameras but also with his subjects.
Prof. Hersh Chadha OPM (Harvard), ARPS, a Dubai-based businessman, conservationist, philanthropist, educationalist, photographer and poet, travelled to some eighty-three countries and 226 cities to produce this book. His earlier works include a series of photographic books, Elements I, II and III, and Hersh Chadha: Visions of Nature, all of which illustrate his uncompromising concern for the environment. He runs a global network of business activities, is an avid reader, keen economist, collector of objects d'art and an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society (ARPS).
