The History of Germany: From the Third Reich to the Present Day
As one of the largest countries in Europe, Germany has been at the heart of various world events time after time, which has shaped its history for better and for worse. This book explores the background to the Third Reich and the Reich itself, covering the period of Adolf Hitler’s ascent to power and his subsequent influence on German history. Its also examines the aftermath of the Second World War, the evolution of the modern nation of Germany and its standing as the world’s fourth-largest economy.
Abdullah Alkuraya is a university student and researcher from Saudi Arabia. The recipient of several honours for academics and research, this former Dubai resident was accepted to the Tamayuz (Excellence) Programme, the largestl eadership development programme in the Kingdom, where only 3 per cent ofstudents are selected through Cognitive Aptitude Testing.
History holds a special place in his heart, and he discovered his love for the subject from reading books and research papers as if they were movies – with a protagonist,antagonist, plot and drama!
For him, having the knowledge of history enables him to understand current events from a deeper perspective. He has publishede rsearch papers on history and on abnormal psychology.
