About the Author

Jocelyn Henderson was born in London in 1920. After leaving home, she held various positions in the London theatre and film industry before working as a personal secretary to the Churchill family during the Second World War. She then married Edward Henderson, a British diplomat, with whom she moved to the Middle East in 1961. Together they lived and worked throughout the Middle East until Edward's death in 1995. With her heart and home firmly rooted in the Middle East, Jocelyn decided to continue living in Abu Dhabi, where she still resides today.
