Taking the High Road
Ram Buxani
AED 90.00

Ram Buxani narrates the engrossing story of his own life in Taking the High Road, starting from the carefree days of his childhood to his catapult to maturity as an employee with ITL in Dubai; his growth to success by sheer perseverance, and his fulfilment of many roles as a son, husband, father and grandfather.

Alongside his life story, Ram Buxani records the history and spirit of the Sindhi Hindu community, displaced from their homeland during the partition of the Indian subcontinent. Based on first-hand experience, he shares the horrors of partition, the rebuilding of lives from scratch, the important role of Sindhi women, the spread of the Sindhi diaspora around the world and the eventual triumph of the community.

First published in 2003, Ram Buxani's autobiography has since been translated into several languages, including Sindhi, Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi and Urdu.
