Sheikh Zayed: A Personal Tribute – How His Philosophy is Now More Important Than Ever is an endeavour of love that highlights the political thought and social philosophy of Sheikh Zayed, a man whose decisive contributions changed the course of history for the UAE, the Gulf region and the wider world. Told from a uniquely personal standpoint, the authors take a thoughtful look at Sheikh Zayed's life and legacy, analysing his Bedouin upbringing, his careful actions and his forward-looking vision. They document the many achievements of Sheikh Zayed, who was held in high regard by his contemporaries across the world for his keen political insight, his humanitarianism and his role in the overall development of the UAE.
Soud Ba'alawi is the founder and CEO of Anwaar Majan Investment and Development LLC. He is also chairman of the Executive Committee and board member of Noor Bank, and vice chairman of Noor Takaful. He has many years of experience in banking and investments, having served in numerous executive roles in private and public companies. As an Emirati, he has witnessed the massive transformation of the country under the leadership of Sheikh Zayed, which inspired him to co-author this book.
Florence Marguerite Guillerm Mandet studied philosophy at the Paris- Sorbonne University and clinical psychology at the University of Paris III: Sorbonne Nouvelle. Florence moved to the United Arab Emirates in 2005. She became interested in the history of the UAE, and especially in Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, which led her to research and learn about the country's history and the life of Sheikh Zayed. Florence currently lives in Dubai.
