Some thirty years in the making, Landscape Plants of Arabia contains the fruit of massive personal and professional experience assembled together with international research and reference material, creating a gigantic and exhaustive reference that will stand as the definitive work on the subject.
No fewer than five images per plant are presented alongside a host of detailed horticultural data, all painstakingly-checked and cross-referenced. The result is a remarkable work of reference that will prove invaluable for professional and amateur gardeners as well as academics across the Middle East and beyond.
Julian Lee was educated at King's School, Canterbury and Merrist Wood Agricultural College. He began working in the Middle East in 1977 and was a founding member of Desert Landscape Company in 1988. The business has since been developed into Desert Group, the largest landscape and horticultural company in the Middle East.
Julian has immense hands-on experience working with plants in hot climates and much of the detail noted in this book is the result of his own personal observations, together with plant successes and failures over the years.
