Nature Walks: Wildlife Encounters in Ras Al Khaimah not only explores flora and fauna of the Emirate through prose, illustrations and personal anecdotes, but it also connects globally through the rich heritage of migratory species that can be found here. Written in a whimsical manner, the author has taken her experiences with ordinary and extraordinary desert wildlife and plants and turned it into simplified yet educational excerpts that appear alongside illustrations that she has painted.
“The concept of Nature Walks aligns well with our commitment to supporting initiatives that foster knowledge and appreciation for our environment and heritage.”
– SHEIKH SAUD BIN SAQR AL QASIMI FOUNDATION FOR POLICY RESEARCH
“Simple, authentic, sensory and with a fabulous insight on the raw honest beauty of nature and wildlife that surrounds us.”
– JULIE LEWIS, SPEAKER, EXPLORER, AUTHOR
“Absolutely breathtaking. Filled with magic, wonder and sprinkled with facts, some of which are humorous, others more poignant. I don’t think I’ll ever look at RAK in the same way again. The world needs this book.”
– MARY RITA MCGUIRE, CREATIVE DEPTH COACH
