Yusuf's life has been a series of events that would shape his destiny, his identity and the life of those he holds dearest to his heart. Between Two Wives tells his story of life with his two wives, Aliyaa and Maria, and his inner conflict. Through a poetic and reflective narrative, the author navigates through Yusuf's life as he struggles to come to terms with his decisions, his destiny and his identity as a 'spouse-of-two'. In this book, Hussain Ali Lootah gives his readers a peek into a little-known reality of the Islamic culture: polygamy, and explores the role of destiny in shaping one's life.
