The Falcon Who Found His Wings follows the daring young hero, Shaheen, on his adventures to become the Champion Falcon. Despite the obstacles Shaheen faces – his small size, his wounded wing and challenges from other falcons – he refuses to give up hope. It is a heart-warming journey of a small bird with big dreams and the courage to follow them. Supported by Jibnet Abu Al Walad cheese, this book is a part of their Book of Dreams campaign that aims to encourage Arab kids to read more, thereby fostering their ambitions and helping them achieve it.
Rachel Hamilton is a graduate of both Oxford and Cambridge. She put her education to good use by working in an advertising agency, a senior school, a building site and a men’s prison. Her first book was runner up in the Emirates Festival of Literature’s Montegrappa First Fiction competition. Seven books later, Rachel divides her time between the UK and UAE, creating stories for 5–13-year-olds and talking to them about the joys of reading. Rachel loves to make people laugh, especially when it's intentional rather than accidental.
