AED 205.00

Celebrating a Special Relationship: United Arab Emirates & United Kingdom traces the early days of the first British Political Agents and expatriate professionals stationed in the Emirates, through a collection of rare images. Spanning the decades since the Perpetual Maritime Truce of 1853, the discovery of oil in the late 1960s and the formation of the UAE federation in 1971, this book offers a glimpse into the role that Great Britain has played in the development of this dynamic nation.

This special limited edition is reissued in 2022 with new covers and introductions to commemorate the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

It also includes new images from Her Majesty’s visit to the UAE in 2010.
